I believe Black Merc is correct. The satellite used for internet service is in a diferent location in the sky, but even if you got the coordinates and pointed your dish at it, you would not be able to use it. For one thing, the internet responds to "requests", that is, you type an address of a web site that you want to view and it displays it to you.

Your satellite tv device is just a receiver, how would you transmit the request? People with satellite Internet service have both a transmitter and a receiver. Sometimes both work with the satellite, sometimes the transmitter is phone line based (like an old modem)

There are 2 way satellite dish systems but yes as the others it said the satellite is in a different place sky so you would need an extra antenna but it's more than just that you would need a transceiver unit how are you connected to the internet now those satellite dish units also require an internet connection so that you can actually make a purchase of a pay-per-view
