Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations for a good travel wifi router? I don't need a while bunch of bells and whistles. I'm trying to keep the price low. Thanks!

Tp link makes a couple good ones. I have the mr3040 (I think) with built in battery, ethernet and USB for a modem. I also have the Tp link wr703n same ports minus built in battery. Both work pretty well.

I also have the TP-link model MR3040.  Seems to work well although I haven't gone on any travels with it yet.  Got it on sale at Walmart.

I have the TP-Link TL-WR702N. There's mixed reviews about how it works as an actual router but I haven't had any issues. I picked it up for $15 from Newegg.

I think I meant 702. The chinese firmware one. I got it off amazon a few years ago and it came with the Chinese firmware. Flashed openwrt in english.

Actually, if you don't need it to run on batteries any router can be used as a travel router such as a Linksys WRT-160N for $3.99 from Goodwill.  Put DD-WRT on it and you're good to go.

The great thing about the 702 is that its power port is a USB micro port, so you can run it from a backup cellphone battery pack like this:

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I've recently purchased a few TP Link products for my home network and I've been really pleased with the quality and value.
