What type of batteries is everyone using for the alien x build with the 1000KV whitespy red motors and the 8" props?

With those motors, use a 2200mAh 3S battery... perhaps the Zippy?

Yes... but only if I dropped the prop to 7" -- Don't run a 8" prop with a 4S battery on those motors.

I plan to use 10" props with the 2200 battery. Looking for super smooth video. Hobby king US store has batteries and fast shipping.
