G+_Peter Dulley
So I've been one of the few (maybe not so few?) hanging on to the thought that I need to have removable storage in my phone. Today for the second time I had a memory card die. I went to play a podcast at lunch and my phone just couldn't access the card. I've tried repairing the card with my PC with no luck. At this point I'm wondering why I've been holding on to removable memory for so long. I've never had an issue with internal memory, I've got hundreds of GBs of cloud storage and unlimited data (grandfathered Verizon plan). I think I'm all done with memory cards. G+_Marty Halpern
Stop buying SanDisk! They are cheap for a reason! I have a Delkin Devices Class 10 Micro SD HC and a Class 10 SD HC, both 32gb, and they've run forever. Also, your other prob is the 64gb, which is why I stick with 32. G+_Duncan Jaffrey
Steve Bruce I agree, but for those of us without unlimited data who want to carry a sizable music collection 32gb just isn't enough for on board storage. I;d gladly not had an SD slot/ card if I could get my choice of phone (currently a G4 with 64 gb on board)

G+_jani koskela
Using 128GB cards and not giving up.. sd slot is a requirement or the device won't have a sale with me.
G+_L I
My current phone is the second I've had without external storage, but the first one with 64GB. I haven't run out of storage yet, unlike my old nexus
G+_Jonathan Mayer
I have a phone without an SD slot and a tablet with SD. Honestly, I never notice a difference between the two in reality. I never remove the SD card from the tablet, it's just providing 64gig of storage. If it fills, I don't remove it I just start deleting. I don't even think about upgrading to a larger card. It's odd how accepting I am of my storage ceiling. I will also say, I haven't had a card die since 2010. Usually depends on your phone and the apps using it, as much as the card. G+_Ste Syp
PINK ERASER I have 'repaired' much tech by simply cleaning the contacts with a pink eraser, the one typically on pencils. Reason? Oxidation will inevitably form over time degrading the conductive paths. Please, at least give it a try. It is generally the very best first thing to try and it is quite effective. Warning DO NOT USE GREY INK ERASERS.
G+_Dean Penderghast
I always replace my SD Cards when I replace my phone. New phone, new SD Card.
G+_Mark Nielsen
Ever since I lost years of photos on a 1 week old card, I've abandoned the need for SD cars altogether.
