So, I ordered the HobbyKing 250 kit with the KK215 board, and also got the FlySky T6 controller from Amazon. While I'm waiting for them to arrive, I'm starting to worry about whether the controller is going to come with a receiver or not. Fr. Robert mentioned in ep 121 that he got some receivers for ~$8. Where can I find those?

The listings on Amazon tell whether the transmitter comes with the matching receiver or not so you can just check there, but most do.  There doesn't seem to be anyone selling just the transmitter but if you paid much less than what most of them are selling for then you might have to order the matching receiver separately.

So, I'll need more servo leads than what comes with the kit? I think it comes with 3, according to ep 122. Extra props are definitely an essential. I'm a little curious what the best props would be. I'm probably not going to mount an FPV but I would like to record some flights with a cheap muvi or 808, so I'd like more stability in the flight more than speed. Any suggestions on what props to get? will 6" fit on this 250?

The kit doesn't come with servo leads at all (at least mine as well as a few others have reported that there wasn't any in the kit). As I have said before, the kk215 should come with leads, not the fpv250.The props that come with it are the best for the motors. Hobbyking spec-ed this kit properly so you don't have to do the experimenting.

So, it came in today and no servo leads :( My next question is: How in the world does the velcro strap work? I can't get it tight enough around the battery. I haven't flown it yet because I'm still waiting on the FS-T6 but the battery seems to be to smooth for the velcro to hold it in place. Any pics or tips on how to do this?

So I got everything connected, I did the receiver test and the board registered everything properly but when I went to test the spin direction on the motors, nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? I did the ESC calibration and one of the times I tried it, I put the throttle up and the motors spun just fine. But after I go back to the SAFE screen, nothing happens.

The motors won't spin at the safe screen. That is the disarm state. Only when the kk215 is armed will the motors turn. That's a safety features so when you have props on and you need to make an adjustment, you accidentally tap the throttle and slice a finger.
