G+_T Burns
First flight with the newly painted canopy and it was a lot of fun! This is definitely a first run trial using the instamorph. Lessons learned: 1) Start with a lot LESS! I estimated the amount needed by putting a thin layer in a baking sheet and ended up with almost 250 grams excess (end product is 30 grams) Rolling that down to a thin enough layer took an hour! 2) The recommended 140 degrees is to low to effectively use a rolling pin to flatten it; 3) 180 degrees is a little too hot, the plastic begins to retract and wrinkle, hence the bubbly look to the skin on the final canopy. 4) Wait for the paint to completely dry before applying Painters tape (I'll have to redo the windshield, which is ok, because I'm going to give it a sliver color instead)

G+_Donald Burr
Now all we need is the ray gun from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," so that we can ride in it :)
