G+_Brian Roden
In reference to vertical video, many phone cameras have enough pixel resolution for 4k video in 16x9 horizontal even when shot vertically, but pretty much every phone can do it in HD. It is the software that prevents it from being easy. The "Horizon" app forces horizontal video regardless of the orientation. I thought I heard about that app on your show. An approach like this built in to the phone should satisfy the majority of users. Also, shooting video vertically so you can watch it on the phone vertically is absurd excuse anyway. I shoot and watch video horizontally on my phone and that obviously works better when you post it to just about any site, including youtube. Somebody please explain to me how vertical video could possibly be better in anything but the rarest of cases.
