G+_Joel G. J
Can you explain the process. I just looked at malwarebytes website and I dont know which one to use.
G+_Travis Hershberger
Download the free version of malwarebytes first (make sure to save it someplace easy to find like your desktop.) Then reboot and press F8 after the BIOS screen goes away and before the Win7 logo appears (that can be really annoying to press at the right time.) You should be presented with a list of options on how you want to boot, choose the "Safe Mode with Networking" option. Once in safe mode go ahead and install malwarebytes, let it download any updates, and run a full scan of the computer.
G+_Joel G. J
Anti-Malware or Anti Exploit?
G+_Travis Hershberger
Anti-Malware is the free one, so use that. If you've never used it before you can use both. They're all the same installer now, and once the trial period for the Anti-Exploit is over they will only ask you the 1 time if you want to pay to upgrade. G+_Joel G. J
Do u have a better alternative to Avast that is more secure and Free. Would prefer it to be lightweight.
G+_Travis Hershberger
Malwarebytes is the industry go-to in cases like this, nothing comes close to being as good at removing things after the fact (paid or free.) The only other option is to run combofix from bleepingcomputer.com. This generally isn't recommended because it will removing everything it finds without checking to make sure it is safe to remove. IE: You computer might not boot after running combofix.
