G+_Juan Carlos Jiménez Cab
When is the show going to be re-named to All About How Androids Look? You guys spend WAY too much time obsessing over the "beauty" of the phones and hardly any talking about specifications, the actual operating system or things that actually mean anything. Ron's aversion to cases notwithstanding, most of us DO use cases, so those glass backs are meaningless. We use cases because these are small devices that are prone to being dropped, falling out of pockets, falling off tables, being spilled on. Great, in your tiny corner of the world that doesn't happen, but in the real world, it does .. A LOT. Oh, and as long as I'm venting .. Ron, no headphone jack and no replaceable battery is not progress. I don't know how you can justify having to carry a battery PACK instead of a small extra battery as "moving forward". If I wanted the manufacturers to tell me what I need instead of giving me what I need .. I'd use an iPhone. /offmystump

G+_greg davis
They try to make a very casual podcast. I have noticed a not so friendly view Of Samsung devices. And the choices they make on their primary phone make me just listen for the lols. If you want real phone talk try Android Police or Android Central podcasts. G+_Chris Harpner (CSharpne
Brian Helman, I agree. I love the show, but losing headphone jacks and replaceable batteries are the opposite of progress. I also don't care what the phone is made of on the outside (concerning aesthetics), because if I'm spending ~$700 on a phone, and the darn thing is made of freaking GLASS , I'm putting a freaking case on it, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. That fortune is being protected from the occasional and eminent drop. I'd TRULY prefer that it were made of a rugged plastic or rubber. I don't care, in any way, shape, or form about what others think is "beauty". What mattes to me are: 1. Functionality. 2. Ergonomics. 3. Not destroying it. ... 5280. What the sides and back look like.
G+_Brian Helman
I enjoy the show, but it irritates me when Flo and Ron talk in absolutes and based on their personal experiences. I work in higher education. My observations about what students can and cannot afford, and the conditions of their phones is far different. Luckily Jason doesn't usually take this path, and generally speaking Leo is a little more realistic about Android. If Ron weren't a Mets fan, I'd really dislike him at times :P
G+_Edward Murray
I like a phone that looks like the $799 + I just paid for it. Sleek, thin, large and attractive. The overall masses of smartphone users in the world do not use replaceable batteries and 3.5mm headphones, so the market is moving away from those features. Eventually bluetooth or another comparable technology will provide us with technologically superior wireless headphones and wires will no longer be needed. I own 4 pairs of bluetooth headsets and my most expensive set is quite good so I don't personally care. Also, I'm an extremely active user and I've yet to kill my devices battery and not be able to easily charge up (quicker than just a year ago I'll Add). I get what your saying and used to harbor similar feelings but unfortunately the market is going in a different direction. Maybe one of the OEMS will eventually bring it back. You never know. G+_Errol Anthony
I agree with everything you've said. I'd like to add that the ability to replace the battery also adds to the phone's longevity since the battery is usually the first thing to go.
