G+_Joel G. J
Is there an easy way to see if a website is legit? I got a letter in the mail from a "financial aid" organization (studentctr.org) that says I could get good financial aid. Any suggestions?

G+_Travis Hershberger
I'm with Jonathan Schober. If you have to ask, you already answered this particular question.

G+_Ben Reese
You can look up the whois record of any site and find out how long the domain has been registered and who it is registered to. ? It looks like this site has their whois masked: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=Studentctr.org The combined with no information on their site makes it seem fake. The redeeming factor is that they have a custom 888 number which probably isn't cheap. Could always call them and find out who they are....
