Hey! Trying to do a persuasive speech on drones in my college COMMS class. Trying to find the trainer quad Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ recommended or if it updated to a newer model. Want to show how inexpensive a drone/quad can be . Any help will be appreciated

I personally started with the UDI because I wanted to fly outdoors and it was in stock at the time (the syma was out). The Hubsan seems very popular for indoor-only flying.

If you want to tinker with FPV its a good starting point.   I have the Syma X5 and the Hubsan X4 FPV and both are wonderful flyers.  My son has the normal Hubsan X4 listed above and he loves it.    The Hubsan is a bit small for outdoors as it is easy to fly it beyond sight being it is so small but it does ok outdoors flying.   Syma just rocks for the price.

Yeah, a coworker was just flying the Hubsan FPV around the office this morning. Very sweet and surprisingly capable.

I started with the Syma X11. Almost identical to the Husban X4 (for which I have now) for a little less money and nearly half the weight. Flight times are much better with the X11.
