G+_Joel G. J
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ : Having Trouble with Homegroup. Just upgraded the family desktop and a few laptops to Windows 10. When trying to enter the password of the Homegroup to reconfig the laptops, an error popped up saying that Windows does not recognize the homegroup. I reset the homegroup TWICE!!!! NO DICE!!!! Is there any way to solve this?
G+_Jason Marsh
Wow, doesn't look like anyone wants to touch this. Surely someone here has had luck with Homegroups in WIn10. I don't use the feature and I've only had one customer who did. 5 years ago. Perhaps you'll have better luck with a different sharing method. G+_Joel G. J
This is to share printers on my network. Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ : is Homegroup insecure?
G+_Jason Marsh
I see. I used USB print servers before I moved to printers with built-in networking. I haven't looked back, and much prefer networked printers without tethering to a system. Have you looked at google cloud print? Works a treat, and you don't have to be home to send a document to your printer.
G+_Joel G. J
I do use that, but our desktop doesn't run all day long.
G+_Raymond Larabee Jr.
I haven't run into that problem in years. I would start by looking at your file and printer sharing settings on all your windows machines. Sometimes having them off will do this. Again, I haven't run into this problem in years and the solution I just mentioned usually worked for me. Good luck.

G+_Jason Marsh
That's Microsoft Magic at work, I guess :) I'm glad it's working for you. Now it's time to make a new restore point, flush the old ones, and back up your PC.
