G+_Joel G. J
Windows 10 probz... Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ Bryan Burnett I recently got my hard drive replaced on my Dell laptop. I reininstalled Win10 via USB flash drive. For some reason, there's a "finding media" error when the laptop boots up. Also, I cannot get the laptop to automatically sleep when the lid of the laptop is closed. Any suggestions to what the problem might be? Separate question - How do you deal with a sensitive headphone jack that reacts to the slightest tug of the earbuds.
G+_Jorge Cornejo
try looking at the bios under disks and see if there are more than one disk activated. If there is, disable the one that does not mach what you have now. that should take care of the missing media issue. There is a bug in W10 with older laptops that will not let them go on sleep mode by closing the lid and there is no FORMAL fix as of yet. You can try this workaround but it will only stay until you re-boot the machine. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/SOLVED-Windows-10-Laptop-won-t-go-into-sleep-mode/td-p/5171069
G+_Joel G. J
This laptop is a 2014 model. Is that old?
G+_Jorge Cornejo
On computer technology terms, yes it is! It may work well and do what you want, but trying to use newer software may give you issues.
