G+_Richard Bell Posted October 5, 2017 Share Posted October 5, 2017 Following up on show 343 for network cable testing. I use the Fluke LinkSprinter 200 instead of the Nettool. It can also generate a nice report to show client and explain why they need to upgrade/repair a cable run. You can find them on ebay for around $100 if you are patience. FYI: you do need an WiFi enabled phone or tablet to get the detailed information and generate a report. For tone/tracking I use the IntelliTone Pro 200 LAN Toner, Tracer and Probe Biggest feature is not having to unplug from switch to trace. It you need to check correct pinouts, tone at drop, probe switch, then unplug from switch and plug into probe for checking twisted pairing. These 2 tools save me a ton of time.
