G+_610GARAGE
Hearing about Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ's secret red test box got me wondering, is there any software that can be used for testing a router's, or even a network's performance and robustness? I would love to see what my pfsense box could do.
G+_Ryan Gard
I didn't have too much luck with my Google Fu on a cursory search, but feel that this may be of suitable use -- http://stackoverflow.com/questions/143789/does-any-one-know-of-a-packet-generator
G+_610GARAGE
Ryan Gard Thanks for the suggestion. Scapy looks like it may work, but I haven't got it running yet. Once I do, I'll report back.
G+_Raj Johal
Does the Linksys/Belkin WRT1900AC support 3G/4G USB modems? If it does support 3G/4G, does support failover? DD-WRT.COM website states WRT1900AC is not yet supported by their software. Is it true?
G+_Ryan Gard
You're going to be best off inquiring with Linksys for further information on that, Raj Johal in regards to your first two questions. As for the DD-WRT, if it says it's not supported, it's not supported. Doesn't mean it'll be the case in the future, but it does take time to get things ironed out properly on a new piece of hardware, especially when they're offering paid support.
