After watching the last episode, I got inspired to install snort onto my pfSenes box. And it was rather easy.

 

Go to system packages, 

Available Packages tab,

"ctrl f" for snort, 

install package.

Then just follow this guide:

I did have two issues. One was that you need an Oinkmaster Configuration Code; even for the community version of Snort VRT rules. But the link on the config page is broken. Luckily all you need to do is to go to snort.org, 

create an account, 

go to your account by clicking your email on snort.org (topish- right side), 

click Oinkcode(in the left menu),

then just copy and paste the Oinkcode.

 

Also, snort can be configured, quite easily to produce many false positives. I changed a setting to a non default state, and I was unable to watch netflix. :( But I reset it, and it seems to be working fine now.
