G+_610GARAGE
I was working on my quad and noticed this cut motor wire. My best guess of what happened is that during my last crash, the propeller broke and graced the wire. The problem is it wasn't severed. So if I didn't notice, the wire would most likely would have melted into two. That would have probably resulted in motor failure and another crash. So remember, when you crash, check wiring. Ecspecially if you use carbon fiber propellers. Might be obvious, but I thought I'd share.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Good tip... we haven't talked about a thorough pre and post flight checklist, but looking for electrical faults is a BIG one. ESPECIALLY for those of you with carbon fiber frames... remember... carbon fiber is conductive. :)
G+_610GARAGE
Wayne Hobbins You jinxed me!!!! :) I went to fly my quad and that motor wasn't working right (seemed lazy). Checked the wire going into the motor and it was super loose. So I think something did come loose. Owell, I ordered T2212-980KV motors from readytoflyquads.com. Hopefully they're a bit higher quality then these emaxs. Also an ESC just in case.
