G+_610GARAGE
I'm looking for a new flight controller for my 450 quad. I was wandering if anybody had any thoughts on Quanton flight control from readytoflyquads.com I am looking to make my 450 a camera rig with all the fancy fetures. Saw this flight controller and it looks like it has a lot more capability with I/O than the cc3d and the naze32. http://www.readytoflyquads.com/quanton-flight-control
G+_Chris Schoblocher
My opinion is if your looking for a camera rig a 250 is not it. Not only are you limited on payload but for a camera rig you want stable and a 250 is not. The larger the airframe the more stable it will be. If you want to drop $50 on a flight controller you can but That alone will not get you to a even near decent camera rig.
G+_610GARAGE
Chris Schoblocher Thats embarrassing. I meant to write 450.
G+_Chris Schoblocher
Lol well thats another story then. I don't have any first hand experience with that board but it dose look to be a definite upgrade from the naze. I use a flip32 and I'm happy with that. G+_610GARAGE
Wayne Hobbins It has 16 outputs and 8 inputs (and a barometer). But I just bought a cc3d and it didn't work plus on of the jst connectors fell of. I know that speaks to the manufacturer of that particular cc3d and not cc3d in general, but I don't like surface mounted connects anyway. And yea, I will probably never plug that much stuff into the flight controller. But its nice to know that I could. :) But it is $50. Which is a bit expensive. But is that $50 getting me more precise and reliable sensors? Also, is the 168mhz a more powerful mcu capable at utilizing more sensors?
G+_610GARAGE
Well, I just bought them both. I'll stick the Quanton in my 450 and stick the cc3d in my 250 that I am going to build and see if there is a big difference.
