G+_610GARAGE
I hit an extremely weird problem. I got a new flight controller for my quad, called Arducopter, and I am trying to set it up so that I can monitor and configure it remotely (because I'm lazy) using an xbee module. I have the xbee hooked up to the telemetry port, but its not working. And here is where it gets a bit weird. I tested the xbee with a loopback test. It works. I tested the ardupilot's telemetry port with a usb to serial adapter, it works. I have checked baud rates more times then I can count. I tried switching rx and tx a couple dozen time. I have even scoped it. It looks like data is getting to the flight controller, but nothing is being sent. I am using Sparkfun's xbee breakout board that has voltage regulation and logic level conversion onboard. Any ideas on what could be the problem? G+_610GARAGE
I figured it out. I ripped of the Xbee breakout board's logic level converter and held the wire directly to the kbee's rx pin and it worked. Still a bit odd though. I guess the Flight controller didn't have enough umph to drive the convertor. Now I'll have to see if a voltage divider will work or if I just have to connect it direct.
