G+_610GARAGE
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ I was thinking about your steampunk goggles. If I understood you correctly, you keyed the part that you made to the googles lense nut. I was wondering, since that unscrews, won't that mess up your alignment on your printed part? Or are the google really fake welding goggles and the lens cap won't come off.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
The lens doesn't come off. The ring STL that I gave will fit PERFECTLY on the beveled front of the goggles... that means you can design anything to hang off the goggles. :)
G+_610GARAGE
Ah, ok. I have a pair(diferent brand) for plasma cutting/Oxy acetylene torch, and they have a lens cap that can be removed to change the lens cover and lenses. I guess the ones you got are just fancy sunglasses.
G+_610GARAGE
Wayne Hobbins The google that the show notes link to actually have a pair there that come with different lenses. I would also think that you would wnat to change out the shaded glass to something that you could wear at night, or at least inside comfortably.
