Which RAID?  Mirror? Stripping? Parity? I don't like the 0 & 1's. Do like the 5's and 6's.  But with 2 drives in the raid, you will be limited.  Software or hardware RAID? Since you said C drive I'm assuming Windows.  You should be able to do 2 raids.  Might need to have 2 controllers if done in hardware.

Running 2 raids off of one controller works just fine.

Because you are only running 2 drives in each array the type of drive won't matter.  Personally I'd go with Blues for the 2TB storage drives (best price/performance/reliability.)  I'm assuming you'll be running the storage drives in a RAID1 so a failure doesn't loose data.

The SSDs that's a much harder choice on what RAID (0 or 1) you want to use.  Either will be fine, just be sure you have a good backup system in place if you use 0.

Eddie Foy When considering today's large capacity HDD units RAID 5 is a complete no-go, and RAID 6 is quickly headed to the same point.  This is because of read error rates of 10^14 (lots of drives are around that claim 10^15 but are really 10^14, literally manufactured the same way on the same line and given a different sticker.)

Of course when talking SSD RAID 5/6 is just fine because they fail in a different way.
