G+_Al Werner
Looking for some advice on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus running Cyanogenmod. I have an upgrade available and would not be opposed to paying for a phone outright but my family is on a shared plan so I don't see any savings there. My concern is if I went with the Moto X or S4 that we are two months away from either a Moto X upgrade or the S5. I'm wondering should I stick with the Gnex, buy an old S3 (or other) to bridge me until after CES? Big complaint on the Gnex is the radio, camera, and battery. The performance after switching to Cyanogenmod has made it very serviceable.
G+_Paul Tobeck
I'm in the same boat. Random reboots and overheating of the GNex are killing me. My buddy has the Moto X, and it's very nice, but I'm not due for a couple of months yet. I'm hoping we see a "Moto X Max" or something similar shortly. Not sure I could go S5 unless Samsung really backs off on the bloat.
G+_Al Werner
Paul Tobeck are you running Cyanogenmod? If not, I would give it a try. Brought new life to the phone.
G+_Paul Tobeck
Not much of ROM'r. Had bad experiences with my previous device. Could never find a ROM that didn't have a deal breaking bug. What's CM up to on the GNex, 4.3?
G+_Paul Tobeck
Unfortunately, AT&T doesn't have the coverage here, and neither does T-Mo or Sprint. I'm stuck on VZW for the time being.
G+_Al Werner
Paul Tobeck cyanogenmod just released the stable version of 4.3. It has been rock solid with no problems. About 6 hours of battery life.
G+_Al Werner
Ken Luberts unlimited data? Problem for me is since I'm on a share plan I need to reduce our shared plan by $45 to justify it.
