G+_Bernard Bout
+Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ? Thank you for answering my query on KH 151 regarding the driver disks for my Asus computer. After much back and forth with Asus support, I received a call from a "supervisor" who echoed the same Asus line that they do not provide disks anymore. They referred me to their support website which has only "some" of the drivers. This is the final email I asked for and received below So this appears to be their stance. Unfortunately I don't use Twitter so cannot shame them, but you said you would. Even though I explained to the guy that if my Win 10 update failed because of lack of drivers, I did not want to go back and restore to Windows 8 then 8.1 and so on, he seemed unsympathetic. I also told him that someone I knew had asked for and received the disks for their laptop recently - meaning you. Don't know what is the next step here... G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Hmmm... my device was Acer... but quick question. The recovery disks that it makes, are they COMPLETE recovery DVDs, or will they only recover with the aid of the hidden partition. If it's the former, then you're all good just making those. If it's the latter, then we got some shaming to do!
G+_Bernard Bout
Nope. All I can do and have done is create the Standard Windows recovery USB. No option to create any DVD's even in windows. Don't even know if it will work when I need it. Also regarding the "hidden partitions" the image of my HD is below. There are actually 4 hidden partitions. What is in them I have no idea. http://i57.tinypic.com/2e5pocy.jpg (You need to use FireFox as Chrome does not display the image on my computer)
