G+_Benjamin Webb
Sorry, but the only high resolution surround sound is coming out of the HDMI port already on the PI. Tos Link is 2 channel PCM, 5.1 DTS, 5.1 Dolby. The analogue out is cool but I have not seen anybody wire up a surround sound that way in years. The extra USB and mSata are nice though. I think the only true use case for this is if you have an ancient receiver and you want to hook some hard drives up.
G+_Jason Marsh
I clicked. It reads like a snake oil ad. I love: 1. "silent" So, it isn't silent? Or you don't know how to use punctuation? 2. Aircraft Grade It's better suited to the extreme environs of entertainment centers. 3. On-Board 5V @ 10A power supply... Then someone else puts together another lego-style HTPC with a 20A 5V supply, but it's better because it's encased in phenolic resin to reduce vibration, enhance cooling, and keep traces from delaminating from the PCB. I think we need a permanent moratorium on posting kickstarter and indiegogo "campaigns". They're ads. For products that aren't in production. And you may never see them. And what about all the ads for stuff that already exists and truly is awesome. Like peanut butter.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Jason Marsh I typically let them do it once as long as it has something to do with the community. But I have removed MANY spam attempts that are just plastered across as many communities as possible. -- Part of being a vibrant community. :)
