G+_Chris Wood
You know what? I'd buy one (if the price was right).
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
U want a desktop computer that only runs a browser? Why? Buy a tablet if your needs are so few.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Hdmi all of them, what's good USB 3.0 in e chrome OS operating system? There are no apps to do anything with what you connect.
G+_Aaron Gauthier
Some people may like the screen size 21.5 inch, a tablet that size would be a pretty penny. I would think the price will be less than a desktop Pc or a Mac. So I could see people buying them, I am not saying it will be a hit but I don't think LG will lose money. I know I want a Chrome OS device, I don't know which one though.
G+_Chris Wood
For me, it's all about the feel. I have a Dell PC that works all right and dual-boots Ubuntu, but I want to use it more as a media/game server and to run Scrivener (which doesn't have a ChromeOS port). I have a Chromebook, which I love for its simplicity and the intuitiveness of the OS, but when I'm in my office and trying to get things done, the laptop feels too small to immerse myself in my work. This thing, with the ability to act as a monitor for another PC, could be perfect. It runs ChromeOS for most of my day, and when I need something more, I switch over to the PC. Sure, I could do everything on the PC and save some money, but there is something about ChomeOS that I really like. Maybe it's how lightweight it is, or that it's based on Linux, or that I'm impressed with how much can be done with the web, but every time I try to put the Chromebook away and stick with the PC, I always come back to it. G+_Jeremy Baugh
Because everyone isn't an Apple fanatic like yourself and may not want a machine that will cost them thousands of dollars. Chrome OS can do many things... basically you can mimic and manipulate the entire Microsoft Office suite, you can remote into other machines and have a Windows/Mac machine running on it... simply put, they are extremely useful. Dude, don't slam or marginalize products just because you're biased to another manufacturer... which you are.... heavily.
G+_Shooter McLovin
Jeremy Baugh chrome os is useless without an internet connection. We all know this. A chromebook in and of itself is useless to me, but with Crouton, my HP 11 is my daily driver and the best portable workstation I could ask for. G+_Alvin Chin
Wayne Pam Kelly Don't sell your Chromebox. Resale values on eBay are quite good now. Of course, if other Chromebox models come out next year, resale values might adjust downwards.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Lou Gagliardi I'm a civil engineer, no a single program I use can run on chromeOS. So no I have not use them...
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
lol! My iPad and android table fill the chromeOS space in my case. But still a desktop is to do work, I still don't see who needs a desktop chromeOS...
G+_Josh Frye
Can you run the Chrome OS in a kiosk mode? I can see a touch screen Chrome OS device as a thin client for a network based back end.
G+_Tor Iver Wilhelmsen
Lou, I think I'll copy your "argument" there and use it whenever you go on one of your absurd little crusades against Apple. Now that someone criticizes your precious ChromeOS from Master Google, and you apparently feel the need to go on the defense...
G+_Tor Iver Wilhelmsen
Yeah, I have noticed you acting as a spoiled brat when you create a thread, and delete my replies. Not used to being argued against, are you? ChromeOS is the desktop equivalent of iOS in many ways, with its restrictions on what you can install etc. If the freedom of Android is an argument against iOS, why isn't the freedom of a real Linux distro plus Chromium an argument against this stripped-down browser-focused reinvention of the network terminal? So, whenever you go on one of your six-year-old rants about some Apple news you apparently are incapable of ignoring, just pretend the first reply is this: "Well goody goody gum drops for you, aren't you a special little snowflake!? just because it's not for you doesn't mean it isn't for someone else. Last I checked, the earth doesn't revolve around Lou"
