Argh. I just got my replacement Syma X5c. I returned the first one because I couldn't make the camera work. This one has the same problem! Am I doing something wrong? It's just the top right shoulder button, but the light on the camera doesn't change from solid green. PLEASE HELP!

Press and hold the right button.

OR press/hold the left side up/down trim button.

It's not the right button anymore. It's the left trim button. How weird. Thanks for your help!

Yes, very awkward to say the least.  Tempted to move it back to the right side button.  Maybe when I open it up to add a SMA-RP connector for better antennas.
