G+_Matthew Bowe
Does anyone know if I can run Spinrite on individual drives from a RAID0?
G+_Pat Sheerin
Yes. Spinrite does not care what is on the drives
G+_Damien Wessling
Yes, however I'd take the individual drives off the RAID channel, process as a 'stand alone' drive on a separate sata/sas channel then return to the RAID.
G+_Matthew Bowe
It's a software RAID, so there's no channel.
G+_Damien Wessling
Spinrite will see the 2 drives as 1 drive. To utilise Spinrite correctly, you need to process 1 drive at a time. Disconnect both drives and connect 1 drive to another Sata connector not associated with the RAID. Run Spinrite until complete. Rinse, repeat for 2nd drive.
