Gina joining AAA is fantastic news

I'm a little unsure how comfortable Gina will be in the AAA show. Don't get me wrong, I rate her very highly indeed - she is intelligent, has a great sense of humor, communicates easily and clearly, and has a great deal of technical knowledge and depth gained from real, practical experience.

All great skills that explain why (in my opinion) she's so good on a significant and substantial show like TWiG.

The problem for me is that AAA doesn't feel like the same kind of show. It's a bit lighter, it's about the shiny new gadgets, it's more "person in the street considering purchase of phone A or app B" or "my app P is better than your app Q".

I just have this nagging doubt that the AAA format doesn't match Gina's undoubted strengths.

Of course, I'll listen to the show, and we'll see what happens over the weeks.

Didn't she bail on Android for iOS for awhile? I got the impression from listening to TWiG that she's back on Android though.  Plus, she's going to have to remote in all the time, which kinda blows.  Shannon Morse would have been an awesome fit but I think she uses an iPhone.  Oh well.  I like Gina a lot, so hopefully the flow of the show continues.  We'll see.

I like Gina, and I think she adds cred but to the wrong crowd, its not a techy tech audience that watches AAA, its more of an android fan show.... I don't want to learn coding tips from the show, I want news on apps, hardware, and yes, rumors of what will be cool. Its kind of the reason I stopped watching twig, that and it was less and less about cloud computing amd more about coding and journalism (which is fine, I just want that on a different show).

I'm going to stick with AAA because I love the show and I hope it really hope it doesn't change. I want it to be funny and light hearted, not a Glee/Chipolte clubhouse.

I also agree with Adrian Warman.

I've stopped watching AAA because of the amount of 'filler' there seems to be.  I always come away with the feeling that the  program is aimed at younger viewers.

I don't think the show is a good fit for Gina, (as oppose to Gina being a bad fit for the show).  Unless of course Leo is wanting to improve the quality of the show and sees Gina as a way to do so.  If this is the case then I hope she pulls it off.
