G+_Eddie Foy
Went Syma flying for a bit. Change batteries and had a small issue: yaw was too far out of trim. Called it a day. Got home had probs syncing. Found the quad has to be on a surface to sync. Holding in my hand very steady wasn't cutting it. Ideas for the yaw issue? (might try to tether it indoors and play) On an odd note, I've noticed the lights. Red in front, green in back. Shouldn't they be Green for Starboard and Red for Port (add white for tail if you like) ??
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Trim, trim, trim! Also... check your props for damage and make sure the gear on the motors is making full contact with the drive gear. You don't want different lights on starboard and port because you want to readily be able to identify if you're looking at the front or the back of the craft. (the primary perspective change)
G+_Eddie Foy
ran out of trim when flying and had the stick near maxed. All mechanically sound (outside of a prop touch on guard until they get pulled up at speed). tethering a good idea in this indoors setting. as for lights, having raced sailboats for years, used to the colors. but then after about 20 meters I can't see them anyways. G+_Taylor Graham
You might also need to calibrate the sensors. I had an issue where my syma went totally out of calibration and auto level completely stopped working. I calibrated them when i got it, but had forgotten how when i had the issue. Sit in on a level surface, turn the quad on, wait until lights blink slowly, turn on transmitter, then move both sticks to the bottom left corner.
