So, on my desk at work is a windows 7 system loaded on a 20gb ssd.

It will be used as a PC for students. We use roaming profiles and they are instructed to only save files to a network share, so I probably only need 3-5 gb of free space.

What can I do to shrink this load as much a possible? Already I have:

Disabled superfetch

Disabled prefetch

Disabled hibernation

Disabled page file

Removed any non essential windows applets

Deleted the downloaded files for windows updates.

Anything else?

It's going to be used as a multiple login system. Almost like a thin client. So I will just re image it if it gets full. I will re image them in the summer anyway.

I also can't pay for any software (we have a very limited budget) and I have to make sure everything is legal (I work for a school district)

If it was just for me I would fine a way to get chromeOS On it :)
