G+_Mark Swaim
So Microsoft just today released the latest Windows 10 preview with Sparton in it. And it took me 3 tries to install the last build without it just 2 days ago. Anyone excited or frustrated with this latest build?
G+_Larry Havenstein
I got it going on a test VM. Spartan didn't run right till I had 2 cores assigned to the VM. One core isn't enough. Not a big problem now days but nice to know.
G+_David Pick
Yea, I tried upgrading to build 1049 before work today. Made the mistake of selecting restart when it was ready on my laptop. Right when it was ready to install, I had to leave for work. I forgot the install usually takes over 40 minutes if all goes well. As I have a multi-boot setup with Windows 7 Home,Windows Technical Preview and Ubuntu 14.04.02 Mate installed. I had to leave with the technical preview install at 2% and I knew when it was ready to make it's first reboot it was going to sit idle for over 8 hours with Ubuntu login running. I'll post tomorrow in time for Windows Weekly if I succeeded upgrading to build 1049.
G+_David Pick
So I'm late reporting and didn't know if anyone cared. I went home after work and finished the upgrade. After 2 reboots it was ready to run. I tried Sparton on www.CNN.com. I really don't know what the web Developers have done over on CNN. But it made Sparton on my Core I3 laptop with 4GB of ram scrowl at a near stand still. Probably should have selected the frown face. But I wanted to make sure it was the laptop or browser that was the problem first.
