G+_Eddie Foy
Looking for input: I want to run an Apache web server and MySQL at home in a lab env. Planning on putting them on a RasPi. Would I be better off with 2 Pi's each running 1 server then both on the same? (I don't have the newer Pi 2's, but a handful of the B & B+'s ) GUI's are not needed on the PI's. Does splitting it up add much complications to the system? (making them point to the right IPs isn't a prob) This is mainly for 'research', as the kids call it these days :P
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
The web server won't use many resources, but the MySQL server will. I would definitely put them on different boards.

G+_Ben Reese
How much use will they be getting? I ran both on the same Pi with no problems... But it was just me accessing the page and I only ran it for a short period of time.
G+_Eddie Foy
Light use. Though I might spin off more and more MySQL
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
RasPi are so inexpensive, that you might as well separate them. -- Always plan for a little headroom. :)
