PIcked up an old Cisco PIX 501 firewall/VPN at a hamfest this weekend for $2.  (had to replace the coin battery inside)

Love the DES and *triple* DES encryption :P

 

Its having problems with the power supply.  Calls for a 3.3V @4.5 amps.  Won't boot unless I give it at least 3.5V  (running on a 18650 right now.)

That was my thought.  For $2?  can't pass it up.  (He had a stack of them.  Can't wait to see what I find @Dayton this year.  Last year got a Catalyst 3750 PoE 48 port switch for $150)

Battery was totaly dead, and the passwords NOT cleared (and unfortunately, they aren't '7's, gotta do the ugly method.)
