G+_Eddie Foy
My mouse wheel broke ( a few weeks ago had to replace the left button, wore it out) The wheel broke right where it went into the encoder. No mouse I had, had a wheel that fit. So what do we do? (its Razer Naga, and rather not spend $80+) Off to the lathe, and whittled up a new axle of 304 stainless steel with the hex flats for the encoder done with a file and a index-able spin jig. 3D printed a new wheel and 'button knob' and reused the 'tire' of the old wheel. (you'd me amazed at how dependent one is to that wheel ) Next up, adjustable teflon glide skids.

G+_Larry Havenstein
I am just short the lathe and mill. Spending enough to get that has been my sticking point. I have most everything else. It is fun to have the tools when you need them.

G+_Steven Atkinson
The satisfaction of a job well done is worth a fortune. It's times like this where I wish I was still in my old job as a university technician as I had access to all of that equipment.
