Picked up a Cisco 2821 router with a phone (POTS) adapter and a ISDN adapted installed for $50 at Hamvention.

 

Now to build the DMZ with honeypots.

Looks like a pretty good deal! About 90% off the new price. So what does the POTS adapter give you? Dial-up modem capabilities or SIP to POTS gateway?

the POTs, I dunno.  maybe a fall back connection?  (I had an old SMC router that had an option to use a modem if the cable/dsl went out.

 

I didn't see any SIP modules in the boot up inventory.

(but does have the VPN)

 

Either way, I'm just pulling them out.  Don't have a phone line in the house.
