G+_George Kozi
What if Microsoft came out with a phablet format device, and called it "The Pocket PC"? I think that would be a brilliant marketing move. (provided it was a pocket PC)

G+_George Kozi
things have changed. these day everyone makes tablets. I think Microsoft should make the pocket PC instead.
G+_Kevin Schuster
I think what Nathan is trying to tell you, is that that has already been done.............

G+_Nate Follmer
Yeah George, it's been done by them. I was just being funny :) I actually used to have the old HTC Windows Mobile 'Pocket PC' phones/PDA's. They introduced me to the fabulous world of XDA-Developers... Oh how I miss the days of custom WM 6 ROMS.
G+_George Kozi
what I was thinking about is that they try to move to "tablets" with full windows on them. That's a PC isn't it? A small and simple PC, but a PC nonetheless. So even if it has been done before, today it would be a differentiator. Maybe when they did it it was just too early. G+_Nate Follmer
Are the Surface tablet's basically what you're talking about? I've never used one, so I may be wrong.
G+_George Kozi
yeah. If I understand it correctly (Windows Weekly) the RT thing is going away.
G+_Nate Follmer
Ah, well that makes sense now. I've always thought Windows 8 wasn't made for a mouse... It was best suited for a touchscreen. They should have just went all full blown W8 on all tablets and left 7, or something like it, for the desktops.
G+_Glenn Hoeppner
Surface is Windows RT. Surface Pro is full on Windows. They're quite good really.
G+_Damian Mongru
Is this not the Surface Mini they were going to announce in the spring. I think everyone thought this would be a great idea, then it never saw the light of day. Nathan Follmer the rumours seem to be heading this way. With WindowsPhone/RT hybrid for phones and tablets, and a desktop (first) experience on PCs.
