G+_Eddie Foy
Hey, possible fun show topic: car cooking. Using the engine heat on road trips to cook food. Could be good in the crackpot frame of mind. (and STOP now if you are worried about carbon monoxide coming from the tailpipe 15+ feet behind you. Also ponder CO is used to make the meat you buy at the store look 'red & fresh' even at the holy grail Whole Foods.)
G+_Al Jackson
I'd watch that show! In my Jeep, I have a warming oven of sorts that I made. It's a bread loaf pan with a lid made from some aluminum which is held on by a couple of small hinges. Weather stripping around the edge of the lid to help keep the dust out. This sits on a bracket attached to the brake booster which locates the pan above the exhaust manifold. I haven't used it for cooking, but just for keeping things warm. Burritos or a sandwich or maybe a small container of pasta will fit. A thermometer placed inside shows that it reaches about 160 F.
G+_DTJ W315
Mythbusters did this a while back with Anton....the famous chef guy? It worked pretty well.
