Apple mail can not connect if I use the internal IP, but OK if I use the external IP. (for server addresses) Now I had issues with the Cisco router (not Linksys) blocking/filtering that loop-back of sorts to the external IP. (makes sense since its pointless, its like going out your front door every time before going to a new room) I'm running ProXPN VPN, which fixes that Cisco item. G+_Ben Reese Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Just a few thoughts... Is your firewall blocking the local IP range? Are other mail clients able to connect?
