G+_Chris O'Riley
My son wanted some tattoos (temporary, of course), so I rounded up some Sharpies and got to work! Thought you guys would appreciate this. ;)

G+_Jeff Gros
Chris O'Riley What's the model of the Hakko in the background?
G+_Chris O'Riley
Hi Jeff, it's the FX888D. I tortured myself for years with cheapo $20 irons before buying the Hakko.
G+_Jason Marsh
How l33t is he, though; does he know how to read the value of the resistor? Can he make der blinkenlights on his own?
G+_Jason Brown
He's gonna get a cybernetic sleeve tattoo when he turns 18. You did this to yourself. Lol
G+_Chris O'Riley
He usually gets things working in Scratch, but I've been showing him how to tweak the code directly. I'm hoping his tattoo interests stick to the Sharpie type! ;)
G+_Jeff Gros
Chris O'Riley I've got the standard FX-888 (several tips and tweezer attachment). I've recently acquired a used metcal with an assortment of tips, although at least one of the tips will need some work to revive! :)
G+_Jeff Gros
Chris O'Riley I agree about the tattoos. Most people my age (30s) or younger have tattoos. I've yet to find some one with attractive tattoos. From a distance I cannot tell what their "work of art" is supposed to be. it just looks like they've been painted with some ugly black/green splotches. G+_Chris O'Riley
Having gotten into electronics relatively recently, being able to justify a Metcal is probably something that'll have to wait 'till the next lifetime! ;) As an artist by trade, I'm never satisfied with any of my work for more than a few months (can always do better on the next try), so committing anything to ink in skin is not something I've bee willing to do - I'd regret it within a year and then hate it for the rest of my life! G+_Chris O'Riley
Ha! Let's see, maybe it says: I will resist your capacity to block enlightenment through logic! ;)
