He usually gets things working in Scratch, but I've been showing him how to tweak the code directly.

 

I'm hoping his tattoo interests stick to the Sharpie type! ;)

Chris O'Riley I've got the standard FX-888 (several tips and tweezer attachment). I've recently acquired a used metcal with an assortment of tips, although at least one of the tips will need some work to revive! :)

Chris O'Riley I agree about the tattoos. Most people my age (30s) or younger have tattoos. I've yet to find some one with attractive tattoos. From a distance I cannot tell what their "work of art" is supposed to be. it just looks like they've been painted with some ugly black/green splotches.

Having gotten into electronics relatively recently, being able to justify a Metcal is probably something that'll have to wait 'till the next lifetime! ;)

 

As an artist by trade, I'm never satisfied with any of my work for more than a few months (can always do better on the next try), so committing anything to ink in skin is not something I've bee willing to do - I'd regret it within a year and then hate it for the rest of my life!
