G+_Graham Green
Hey Know How Group, I am after some advice please on a good (ok great) file de-dup piece software. Don't mind if it is osx or Windows. I need to clean up my NAS drive which I am sure has duplicated files everywhere. There is a lot of stuff out there that is garbage.
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
I think either TNSS or maybe Tekthing covered this very recently. Sorry that I can't remember which one...

G+_Ben Reese
Juscelino Acevedo thanks I'll probably be checking that out too. Graham Green? on Windows I had decent success with Duplicate Cleaner Free. I had photos from my phone synced to multiple locations through Dropbox, Syncthing, and Folder Sync. I needed a way to remove duplicates. Still a very manual process, but the tool helps it be a little less painful.
G+_Ben Reese
I recently built an XPenology file server. It uses Synology DSM, so all the applications available to a Synology will run on this. A few days ago I checked out the Storage Analyzer and had it generate a report of duplicate files. Worked extremely well! I don't see any option to delete from there, but it was easy enough to drop the CSV into Excel and generate a PowerShell script to delete the files I don't want. For me, I started organizing the files on the NAS as I copied from my old dying drive, but I wasn't real sure where I left off. So I just through all files into a folder - just to be safe. Then using the report/CSV/PowerShell, I deleted any duplicates in that catch-all folder. Thanks again for the suggestion, DigitalMatrixIO!
