G+_Morne Smith
Hi Fr. Ballecer...in a recent episode you mentioned Skydog, and it hardware and what it can do.... As you know Skydog parent company has been bought by Comcast, and they are killing off the tech? Do you have any similar products one can use to monitor a network? G+_Jason Perry
I am interested to hear the answer for this one. I use IPFire but I wouldn't recommend it to a non tech person. I just watched the SkyDog episode and was just about to recommend it to someone. Now I am back to square one
G+_Jason Perry
Untangled is another solution but that is so so a software solution that needs to be installed on a box. I have no experience with it.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Yeah, sad... right? I'm looking for an alternative that I can recommend to a non-techie. :)

G+_Katherine Taylor Worth
If anyone comes across a solution, I'd like to know too. I'm bummed about skydog going away.
G+_Morne Smith
Hi all....I also used to use Astaro. This is a bit more technical, came in a Virtual Machine format and worked OK. BUT even Astaro has been bought! It seems as soon as you have a good idea...it gets bought and the tech killed by some giant not wanting you to have total control over your network. Still looking for something that will make it easy to manage/monitor a local home network....easy enough that even my wife can use it!
