G+_Brian Ward
Is it possible to use the raspberry Pi 3 as a wifi pineapple? If so what tools and OS do you use?
G+_Eddie Foy
Don't see why not. Might need to get 2 WiFi adapters. I understand the one in the Pi3 doesn't do monitor/injection. Not sure if it does master mode (for being an AP) Karma, the heart of the Pineapple (where it yes yes i'm that AP you just probed for) is open source and originally used on linux. You won't get the full Pineapple experience/Infusion bar, but the functionality & tools can be reproduced. But in the long run the $99 for a genuine one is cheaper if you value your time at all. G+_Brian Ward
Ok thanks. I was thinking of making this a project but if it does not do the monitor/injection naively not sure now.
G+_Stephen Bertoni
You could get a supported NIC in addition to the onboard. AP mode is a function of the OS, not the card.
G+_Eddie Foy
Not so sure of that, Seems master mode is required for an AP, http://tinyurl.com/jcj4d9y and http://tinyurl.com/4lq5mq
