The Know How crew was looking at the Synology DS414Slim a while back and I was wondering how it was holding up over time.

 

Specifically, are you finding that 2.5" drives have the reliability required for a NAS drive?

Many of the modern enterprise level drives are 2.5" and they hold up as good as the 3.5" enterprise drives. In theory 2.5" should be better as there is less spinning mass although I don't know if that holds true.
