Hello everyone. Long time know how listener first time quader.  I' recently jumped in and bought the training quad http://www.amazon.com/Syma-Channel-2-4GHz-Explorers-Copter/dp/B00K5Y22VG/ and I'm having a blast with it. Then the unexpected happened. My office found out I've been playing with it and my boss asked me some questions regarding it. We have a summer camp that we run up in the mountains and the question of them has come up because someone brought one up a week or so ago. I'm looking for a basic model that could obviously take a couple tumbles from a lot of beginners messing around with it. I'd recommend we get a few of the Syma X5s BUT I have one thing I dislike about them. On the arms the bottom of the motor with the gears is completely exposed and my first flight in a field of grass and dirt got the gears clogged and I had to dissemble to clean out. In the mountains we have all dirt and pine needles with no grass whatsoever. So I'm wondering if anyone can point out a good training quad that is hopefully a bit more encased. I think it's be better to not have a camera but if it's a built in kit with one that wouldn't be a deal breaker. Lastly my boss said he's willing to put down some money up to $200 or so to get something that would fare okay with a bunch of young kids trying / learning / playing / crashing.

TLDR, looking for a good quadcopter for a summer camp of young kids and adults to play / learn with. Lots of dust, dirt and trees up in the mountains. Willing to spend around $200 for a decent model.

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer

Most of the Syma X5C like quadcopters have exposed gears.

How about this so the kids could watch others fly on the screen? The screen is removable and could be held in hand.

Also remember to get spare batteries, props, motors, gears, etc to fix in the field.
