For Christmas I decided to treat myself (I had gotten some money and gift cards as gifts) and ordered the parts to put together a Quadcopter.  Initially I was going to put together something like the example 230 build as seen in the show notes to  Episode 122.  In brief those parts are:

Motors - RTF1806 (2300KV) Gold

Props - FunFly 5x3

ESCs - F-12A Fire Red Series "Naked" Edition w SimonK

Flight Controller - Flip MWC Flight Controller 1.5

Battery - ZIPPY Compact 2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack

Receiver - FlySky FS-T6 AFHDS 2.4G 6 Channel Radio System

However instead of the basic 230 frame that Padre spec'd out, I instead was seduced by the power of the dark side (insert heavy mechanical breathing noises) and got myself a nice carbon fiber frame instead.  Only this frame is a 250 class, i.e. a bit bigger. (specifically, I got the Hobbypower 3k Cf Carbon Fiber Qav250 4-axis 250 Mini FPV Quadcopter Multirotor Frame Kit)

My question is, will the parts that I have (originally intended for a 230 build) work with this larger frame (i.e. will the thing actually have a chance of getting off the ground) or do I need MORE POWAHHH! (i.e. one or more bigger components - motors, ESCs and/or props)?

Oooooohhhhh... so Padre's frame isn't Goooood enough for you?! --- Well then, I guess you need to stop slummin' it with us low-rent fiberglass flyers!

:-P

But seriously... that'll be a fun setup. Just remember that when you start flipping it, find an open space, get a lot of altitude, and BACK OFF THE THROTTLE as you go around. :)
