Hey Guys,

 

I'm putting together a new gaming pc and I'd like to run some benchmarks on it, purely for my own benefit.  Can you guys mention any software I can use (free is preferable) to benchmark, and preferably one that provides other user benchmarks that I can compare it to.  Or maybe a website that I can match my scores against.

Furmark is great for a GPU test.

Goto www.tomshardware.com and follow their benchmarking routine - the gold standard and will give you a good feel for how yours compares.
