G+_Kevin Spitzer (JaguarXT
If Apple can't handle 1million watches at launch they underestimated the device by a lot. I got 4-6 weeks and the preorder ended 5min in. I don't buy so low a number, what ever number it is you know Chinese will be making watches 24/7 until demand is catch up. http://9to5mac.com/2015/04/13/report-estimates-almost-1-million-apple-watch-preorders-on-the-first-day/
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Come on they have spent millions is advertising and just by people favorite the watches on the store they knew. I think this number is low to what they had available for the 24th, maybe Apple will say how many they had at launch.
G+_Paul Salzman
Ken Ostrander I think you're right. They run a tight supply chain. That said, did anyone click into this report? They derived to numbers by scanning 9,500 email boxes. This company does package tracking, then shares the analytics from that tracking. 9,500 hardly represents a percentage of probable Apple buyers in the USA. Click bait article. G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
If the number is wrong and they sold 2million in the first 3min then ok but 5min in I got May shipping time. But I doubt that they just did not realize the demand, strange...?
G+_Chris Sumner
I don't understand why they go through the trouble of advertising a specific date for launch when they don't have enough product to last longer than 5 -10 minutes. This happens with all of their products. I find it hard to believe they wouldn't be better at this.
