That cannot be said with certainty Jeff Stevens, though in this case it's likely.

 

Having said that, growing from $1 in sales to $2 in sales is a 100% growth rate, but not very meaningful. Growing form 1/2 a billion to 1 billion would also be 100% growth, but would also be substantial.

 

The Headline of the OP is making claim to dollar sales growth. Does not mention market share at all. (I can't get the article to load, so I don't know what is stated in there). Market Share is not the only important stat in a business. If I had a product bringing me $1 billion in annual sales, I doubt I'd care very much if that represented 1% or 50% market share, I'd still be pretty satisfied.

Apple needs to take this device seriously. It is a great option however it has me as potential to do so much more. Open it's to have apps/channels like a roku and with airplay you have the best of both worlds ( chromecast and roku) if they add in an HDMI pass through option or a tuner they could own the living room.
