Every tutorial ive seen, they don;t use SuperNight, but a Diffferent Brand Name, The Episode when Fr. Robert Ballecer, Soldered the LEDS, they were A $36 Roll,, I cannot remember the brand name. of what he used.

Read up on the LEDs you have and plug it into the fastLEDs program. If you need additional help look at the arduino and LED classes available for free at instructables.com

You're going to need a driver circuit. You cannot drive the 12vdc strip directly. Padre mentioned a commercial one or you can build your own with 3 FET's. I think I got my design off Adafruit.
