G+_Steve Adams
It's almost as though they were deliberately misunderstanding the different business models.

G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Yes it's from a bias source but the numbers are real, android tablets are not making any money & iPhone profits are Unreal compare to the competition..,

G+_Garry McCaw
Discount all the cheap Chinese (manufacturers) made tablets and what Android tablets are you left with?
G+_Garry McCaw
Kindle fire? ...... Which is sold at a loss (allegedly) just to get people into the Amazon ecosystem. Nexus 7?.........which is also sold at a loss by Google to get people into the Android ecosystem and generate signals for their other businesses. I. E. Advertising etc. Samsung tablets?....... Hundreds of them which is the Samsung way of doing things. Totally flood the market and see what works and what doesn't. Ideally they would like everyone to buy just their premium devices (galaxy s4, tab 10.1 etc) but their just as happy to sell their cheaper products to build their brand loyalty. Apple is in the enviable position to charge premium prices without having to supply cheaper alternatives.
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Garry McCaw u are making his point that tablet market besides apple is not making any money, where is the difference? This are business that only reason to sell products is to make money so IMHO the article emphasis on profit is VERY valid...
G+_Blake DeVoss
Google and Amazon are playing the long game. Unless Apple starts offering things at a competitive price, the ecosystem won't survive.
G+_George Magdaleno
There are tons of Samsung tablets on sale at Costco all the time. I am waiting for the Twin Pack.
G+_Franklin Irelan
Well look how cheap it is to make something like the iPad Mini. The most expensive things on these devices are RAM and the display and they skimped on both of those
